KOTW January 2026 - Standing Firm at the Dawn of a New Year!
As we step into January 2026, we stand at the threshold of a new season—one filled with fresh opportunities, renewed purpose, and a deeper call to walk faithfully with God. A new year is more than a change of dates; it is an invitation from the Lord to reflect, reset, and recommit ourselves to His Word.
The Apostle Paul reminds us: “Forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 3:13–14 (NIV)
A Call to Spiritual Readiness
As Knights of the Word, we are not passive observers of our faith—we are active participants. God calls us to be vigilant, grounded, and courageous in a world that often drifts away from truth. This year, let us renew our commitment to daily Scripture, earnest prayer, and obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
January is a time to ask ourselves important questions:
Am I truly rooted in God’s Word?
Am I living out my faith with boldness and humility?
Am I allowing God to shape my character and direction?
The Sword of the Spirit
Scripture tells us that the Word of God is our weapon (Ephesians 6:17). A knight who neglects his sword is unprepared for battle. In the same way, we must stay sharp by consistently studying, meditating on, and applying God’s Word to our lives. This month, make it a goal not just to read the Bible, but to live it. Let the Word challenge you, correct you, strengthen you, and guide you.
Walking Forward Together
Knights of the Word is not a journey meant to be walked alone. We are a brotherhood united by faith, purpose, and love for Christ. Encourage one another, pray for one another, and stand shoulder to shoulder as we move forward into 2026. God is faithful. He is already at work in this new year, preparing paths we cannot yet see. Trust Him, follow Him, and remain steadfast.
January Prayer
Lord, as we begin this new year, we place our trust fully in You. Strengthen us as Knights of the Word. Help us to walk in truth, love, and obedience. May Your Word be our guide, Your Spirit our counselor, and Your glory our aim. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let us step into January 2026 with confidence—not in ourselves, but in the One who goes before us.
Stand firm. Stay faithful. Live the Word.
Sir William Hooper
Knight of the Word
