Knights of the Word

We are born into this world like the animals. Body and Soul, but the Spirit is dead in us due to sin.  The animal is at peace with his nature because he has no higher thought that comes from God.  We as worldly people are at peace with ourselves and the world around us, because our bodies control the Soul completely. Yet we are capable of more. To choose what is right over our own selfish natures. We can understand higher thought and choose the higher good, (God). When we do this we choose Jesus who is God, we open the door to the Holy Spirit and the war begins. The struggle against our bodily desires over Spiritual truth. With our souls caught in the middle. That is why as Paul says we do not what we want to do, but do what we do not want. This battle only occurs in the believer. Because we are called to something greater than ourselves. To be like God, sinless and compassionate.
