Hi fellow knights. It has been several years since Hollywood or anyone else has published a good Christian Movie, Never mind a full series. "The Passion" was the last one I had seen, and in true Hollywood sytle, it was brutal and bloody. Although it was meant to make us realize what Jesus went through for us, I found it a bit harsh. I have seen many movies that used creative license a bit too much and looked at the ministry of Jesus a little too worldly.
"The Chosen" series is a breath of fresh air. While it too uses plenty of license to write the lives of the Apostles and those around Jesus they say it upfront and take great efforts to bring out the true meaning of the bible. I would consider this series something I would introduce a new Christian to. It could act as a tool to draw people to God. They use a Catholic Priest, Jewish Rabbi, an evangelical minister, and a Bible Theologian to keep the series on track. The characters are both believable and heartwarming. Especially Nicodemus and Jesus. Viewing the series is free on The Chosen App and on YouTube.com. They do ask for donations to pay it forward, which I happily did.
